The Online Conference is jointly organized by UNESCO’s IHP with the International Water Resources Association (IWRA), and the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH). The event aims, in this difficult period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to provide all interested stakeholders with free access to the most updated knowledge about the interconnections of groundwater and climate change, and enable their active participation in scientific debates on the topic.
The conference will contribute to achieving the objectives of IHP’s Themes “Groundwater in a Changing Environment” and “Water Education, Key to Water Security”, and generally, to implementing IHP’s current Eighth Phase “Water Security: Responses to Local, Regional, and Global Challenges”.
